Well, this engagement session at Cal Young Park in Abilene was one for the books. I don’t think I’ve ever bonded with a couple more during a session, and you want to know why? SNAKES.
Yep, you read that right. Cristy, José, and I were having such a great time. We were laughing, joking around, bumping hips… Then, as we start walking to our next spot, I stop dead in my tracks. I almost stepped on it. A GIANT SNAKE. Granted, it was dead…but my heart stopped for a second, okay?? I might live in Texas, but I don’t encounter giant snakes often (or ever), and it was T E R R I F Y I N G. And just as we were ending our session, we run into another huge snake that was split in half! What in the world? Maybe it was because of the recent storm, but let me just tell you, it was unpleasant. The good news is Cristy, José, and I got much closer over my screams and that horrific situation, haha. What can bond you closer than a somewhat/not really near-death experience?
Snakes aside, this session was a blast. Cristy and José were so playful and went along with all my crazy ideas with joyful hearts and free spirits. These two know how to play around with each other, and they looked so cute doing it! Cristy’s laugh and smile bring me so much joy, and who else has intense hair envy looking at these photos of her?? It was such a fun evening and I can’t wait to photograph these cuties next month at their wedding!
