I don’t normally capture Abilene family photos, but when I do, I can’t get enough!

The Whitten family is honestly just a special one to me, so I had a blast photographing their Quinn turning one year old.

I feel like I’ve gotten to capture so many of Alex and Lauren’s milestones. First, I captured their engagement session (see here). Then I photographed their fresh 48 session right in the hospital right after Quinn was born. Last October, I photographed their wedding (see here), which was an absolute blast. So, when they asked me to capture their family for Quinn’s one year old birthday, I couldn’t say yes quick enough.

These Abilene family photos were taken at The Acre, which is one of my favorite spots in town.

It is a gorgeous venue with so many trees, and it really gets the best sunsets.

Lauren brought so many great props that made the session extra fun. She brought cute rugs for them to sit on, and the biggest balloon I’ve ever seen! I always love when my couples and families get creative and really personalize their photoshoot. After this session, they invited me to capture Quinn’s birthday party that following weekend. I really just can’t express how much it means to be trusted with so many important events in the Whitten’s lives!

These two have become dear Abilene friends, and I’m so thankful for this awesome job I have. I’m starting to take on more family sessions during the off seasons, so don’t hesitate to reach out. I would love to capture your family!
