This engagement session at Cal Young Park in Abilene, TX was no short of AMAZING. Abilene has FINALLY welcomed spring with warm weather, blooming trees, and grass that is actually green! I was so happy to photograph Anna and Vance because they were so much fun, and they look stunning in front of the camera. The best part about this engagement session was that it was also a family session! Vance is joining in the family of Anna and her sweet son, A.J. The three of them laugh so much together, and it was so special to be a part of. This little family drove all the way from Midland, TX for our session, and I think it was well worth the travel. These moments were so wonderful to capture, and now they will last a lifetime.

One thing to take note of is how cool Anna’s style is. This girl knows how to accessorize! I was just a little obsessed with her earrings , but really just her wardrobe in general. A.J. was a freaking stud looking SO handsome, and Vance did pretty well too with that cowboy hat. I can only imagine how stunning they’re all going to look on their wedding day this September!

Something I love to do in my sessions is create MOVEMENT. I love having my clients get picking each other up, spinning around, walking, running, bumping hips, you name it! The hair moves, the stiffness fades, and pure magic happens. Anna and Vance were more than willing to participate in my crazy ideas, even though it becomes a bit of a workout, and A.J. had his own fun of getting tickled and thrown around. All in all, it was such a great evening with these three and I can’t wait to capture their wedding this September!
