Adventurous Engagement Session at Sunrise in Abilene, TX | Erin + Josh
Okay, I am now at a point where sunrise sessions have stolen my heart! This adventurous engagement session at sunrise in the outskirts of Abilene was the perfect start to an amazing Easter Sunday. We always brag about the Abilene sunsets, but can we just talk about the sunrises? This one was INCREDIBLE. The clouds were lightly hovering the sun that was coming up over the hill. The oranges, yellows, and pinks just made my heart flip. I actually did a little tutorial on how I edited this session on Instagram! It takes a little extra effort in Lightroom to make sure the subjects are exposed correctly while also maintaining the gorgeous details in the sky! More importantly, back to this amazing couple and this glorious morning. The whole session seemed to fit Erin and Josh’s joyful and carefree spirits perfectly. These two are dealing with that long distance life right now, which Jake and I did for TWO YEARS. I remember just how long the stretches would last and how quickly the weekends together would go by. I know Erin and Josh are over the freaking moon excited to finally get married and live in the same place! In just hanging out with them in one morning, I could tell how deeply these two care about each other. They compliment one another so well, and they create such a loving atmosphere. We were at one of my favorite spots in Abilene (you know, it actually has a VIEW), and as you can tell, we were all over the place! I love to make my sessions super active, and Erin and Josh complied with so much energy. We ran all over the road, and got our workouts for the day in by going up and down that massive hill. I love how easy it was to make Erin laugh, and how happy Josh is to just be around her. These two are seriously so kind and free-spirited, I loved spending time with them. I cannot wait until their wedding this fall! We’re going to have the best time, and hopefully we’ll have a sunset to match this amazing sunrise!
