Boerne Engagement Session | Jade + Dallas

This Boerne engagement session was one I was looking forward to for a long time!!

You want to know why I was anticipating this Boerne engagement session? I went to high school with these two people! Jade was one of my best friends since SEVENTH GRADE. How crazy is that? We’ve known each other for so long, seen each other date a few different people…and we’re both with the right ones now. So, this engagement shoot was one that was incredibly special to me. I’m honestly so honored that I get to capture such an exciting time in Jade and Dallas’s life!

While Jade and Dallas went to high school together, they didn’t start dating until long after.

These two KEPT missing each other! They lived in the same town in Dallas when they were little, went to school together, but still never really got to know each other until years after high school. It’s so weird to think they could have been dating for over a decade! Timing is so crazy. But through mutual friends and get togethers, they built a solid friendship that eventually developed in to this beautiful thing that is about to be MARRIAGE.

We spent the engagement session walking all over Boerne Main Street and reminiscing on our time in this sweet little town.

Our first stop was Cibolo Creek Brewery Co. These two love their beer! It was the perfect, relaxing thing to do to start off the session. I always encourage my couples to really think about how to incorporate their personalities and the activities they love to do into their sessions. With these two, it was obvious to start off getting beer! Then, we walked all around Main Street, noticing the changes since we’d been there. Jade and I spent many lunches and random wandering along Boerne Main Street, so it was super fun to hang out there with her again after all these years!

Then, we went over to the Boerne Lake by Dallas’s house.

He spent many of his summer days at this spot, so it was once again the perfect way to bring their personalities into their engagement sessions. We got there right as the sun was setting, which created the most beautiful golden hour at the lake. I love the way these two goof around and make each other laugh. They do not take life seriously, and I LOOOOVE that. It made the whole evening so carefree!

Lastly, we made a quick stop at the house to incorporate their two dogs. We all know I wasn’t going to object to that!

I’m just so overjoyed these two found each other, even after so many missed chances. I love their story, and I’m so grateful to capture their wedding in April! We’re going to have a freaking blast.

If you’re getting married, I would LOVE to chat with you about your wedding day! Let’s get together!
