It was a hot and humid day in August, but the clouds from an upcoming storm added some much-needed coolness. Country Home Weddings is such a beautiful venue in Canyon, Texas. The yard had just the most beautiful natural greenery, and gorgeous white structures. When I found Mackenzie in the bridal suite, it seriously felt like seeing an old friend on her wedding day. Mackenzie had the most care-free and chill spirit I think I’ve ever seen a bride have! She was just so excited to get married and was enjoying her time getting ready with the girls.
Mackenzie grew up in a small town right outside Amarillo. She was planning on staying there while continuing classes for a few years after one of her internships ended. Out of nowhere, she was offered a job in North Carolina with a scholarship and everything! On her second day in North Carolina, she met Mark. How insane is that?! They both were working at the church they attended and met at an event one night. Mackenzie said the second they saw each other they knew something was up. She told me, “But that was what was so sweet about meeting Mark. I wasn’t expecting him, and I didn’t even realize how much I needed someone like him until we met and started dating.” Talk about the sweetest and most out-of-nowhere connection! It was truly meant to be with these two.
I’m so grateful these two found me and chose me to capture one of the most important days in their lives! Mostly, I’m just happy two make two new friends with the purest and kindest hearts. I know their only desire is to honor God with their marriage, and it is just a beautiful thing to see. Mackenzie and Mark, you two are amazing and I’m so happy you two found each other!!
If you are getting married, I would love to know more about your relationship story and how you want to celebrate your big day. Let’s talk ASAP!!
