I’m honestly convinced that all sunrise wake-up calls are worth it, because every time I am blown away. This was my first time at Joshua Tree, and for miles and miles those crazy unique trees and giant rock formations took my breath away. It’s official, I’m in love with the desert. For real, how did I not know this before? I love all the hot weather (give me 95 degrees and I’m in my happy place). I mean my family is from the desert; IT’S IN MY BLOOD. So needless to say, this elopement at Joshua Tree was one of my ultimate favorites!!
They were so lively and adventurous during this shoot, and ran around all over the park chasing each other. You can tell how happy they make each other, and it was so exciting to capture their relationship in such a beautiful place. Luckily, they’re not afraid of PDA either. They have no problem showing the word their love!
It was an amazing desert bouquet created by Sprig and Spring, and it matched this Joshua Tree elopement PERFECTLY. It matched all of those mustard and tan tones that filled the scenery around us. I wish I knew the names of all the things I loved about the bouquet, like the little crimped fan type thing and the dried up sunflower look-a-likes? But, alas, I’m not a florist. It was just absolutely gorgeous and perfect, ok?!
Are you not just swooning over that lace? There were layers and layers of the most stunning, delicate lace, and it created the prettiest texture. AND THAT FLOW. I love dresses that the bride can play with because it creates such pretty movement in photos. Melanie just loved running around and swooshing her dress back and forth all over Joshua Tree.
I definitely want to get back in this gorgeous desert, and also visit more and more national parks. So if you’re thinking of adventuring in an amazing place like Joshua Tree with your boo, take me along!
