These Joshua Tree engagement photos were so fun to take.

I love the desert so much, so these Joshua Tree engagement pictures give me so much life. Last month, I got to visit Southern California again, and it has become one of my favorite places to take my business. I’ve always been drawn to warm weather and golden sunshine. What better place to find that than in Southern California?! I hope to visit this area multiple times a year, and just keep exploring. Especially in Joshua Tree National Park.

Josiah and Summer are a pair of photographers from Seattle, WA.

We found each other online and did a little tradeoff. It was so much fun to hang out with these two and get a little creative with one another. This job allows me to meet people from all over the country, and sometimes, all over the world. I never thought I would get to be creative and explore beautiful places around the world for my job. I’m so grateful it’s turned out that way!

One thing that I really focused on during this trip was my gifs.

I have loved making gifs, but sometimes they just wouldn’t work out. So I made it a priority this trip to step outside of my comfort zone and really nail down the gifs. I fell absolutely in love with the photos that move. It adds a whole new level of feeling…memories in motion. I’m now going to offer a gif to every couple’s session and wedding from now on! I’m so glad I made it a priority to really learn the process. Now I can offer a little something special to my future clients, and that makes me so happy!

I plan to come to Joshua tree a few more times this year, and I can’t wait to explore more of this wonderful desert.
