This Kauai beach engagement session is finally here to share after like 7 months?

I don’t know why it’s taken me so dang long to show you this amazing shoot, but better late than never, right? I’ve always loved the beach. I’ve grown up going to various beaches since I was one year old, but this was my first time on the beaches of Kauai, or Hawaii in general. And let me tell you, I LOVED IT. The temperature is perfect, the water is cool and refreshing, and the mountains give the most beautiful view. You seriously get the best of both worlds.

One thing I loved about this Kauai beach engagement shoot were those giant black rocks that surfaced the coast.

The waves just crashed against those rocks, giving you this wild, adventurous feel. I think they look so beautiful in the pictures, too! Sara and Chris were troopers for running up and down all over those ragged rocks! We seriously had so much fun, and thankfully, no one got hurt!

What better way to top off this Kauai beach engagement session than with a glorious picnic?!

Bixby and Pine, an amazing styling team based in Oregon, set up this awesome picnic setup for Sara and Chris. Hawaii has the most amazing fruit. There were strawberries, mangos, oranges, grapes…you name it. It is making my mouth water right now! Really, engagement shoots should always be a date where the photographer just gets to third wheel. So this was a perfect example of making an engagement shoot like a date where you can eat and cheers to the adventure you two are committing to! What would your ideal date/engagement shoot look like? After shooting this engagement session with Sara and Chris, I don’t know if I could think of anything better! Of course, I would add my dogs if I could.
