Truly, this Monahans Sandhills maternity photoshoot was so special to me! I don’t do family sessions often because weddings and couple shoots take so much of my time. However, I got to capture Anna and Vance getting married last year! So, you better believe I’m going to jump all over the opportunity to spend time with them and their growing family again.
Let’s go down the list, shall we? They’re sassy and sarcastic. Their proposal revolved around Harry Potter. And, I’ve been obsessed with Anna’s fashion since the moment I met her and she wore a cool black t-shirt with yellow accent tassel earrings to their engagement session. Yes, I remember that a year and a half later, because I WAS/AM/WILL ALWAYS BE obsessed!
And I got so excited when Anna reached out to me on Instagram about doing a bomb ass session. First we were toying around with New Mexico, but to stay closer to home they decided on the Monahans Sandhills. This was my first time ever going to this West Texas hidden gem, and it did not disappoint. The sun was glowing like you wouldn’t believe (yes, I’m aware that every blog I mention what the sun was doing, but hello, I am a sun chaser). The way the sunset made the sand glow and the sky saturate is amazing to me. And I know people say, “She’s glowing!” when talking about a bomb pregnant wonder woman like Anna, but MAN. It’s kind of unreal. When she came out in her second outfit showing off that gorgeous belly of hers, I about lost my mind.
To be chosen as someone’s wedding photographer will never get old to me. I know how important that day is, and am constantly floored and honored that people choose me to capture one of the best days. But then to see these couples again and be chosen AGAIN for those huge moments…wow. I can’t believe how lucky I am.
So go through these amazing photos, let your jaw drop at the gorgeous scenery and the even more stunning couple. This Monahans Sandhills maternity session is just so special to me, and I’m so happy you’re here to look at it. I say we get an engaged couple out here pronto, right?!
While you’re here, check out the last few couple sessions I’ve done recently!
