This Pedernales Falls Engagement Session in Austin, TX was truly one of the most fun sessions ever.
There are many reasons that this Pedernales Falls engagement session ranks super high on my list.
Can you guess one of them? Yep, that’s right. PIZZA. I always encourage my couples to take a look into their favorite moments with their parter. What are your favorite things to do as a couple? What is something you both love? For Ayana and Steven, that is pizza. Who else can relate? I love that these two wanted to make their engagement session at Pedernales Falls unique to them. They wanted their relationship to shine through, and the best way to do that was to enjoy their favorite meal together. It was so fun to sit by the river with Ayana and Steven as the sun went down, and capture their love for each other while smashing each other’s faces with those yummy slices. I mean, how freaking adorable are they?!
Another reason this Pedernales Falls engagement session was so perfect:
Ayana and Steven were down for ADVENTURE.
Pedernales Falls State Park is a wild place in Austin, which made their engagement session quite adventurous. The beach area, the waterfalls, the flowing river, and the jagged rocks to climb on made this evening an absolute blast. Of course, I tripped multiple times, but that would happen on completely flat ground regardless. Seriously though, there were so many amazing views Pedernales Falls had to offer. My favorite was when we climbed up on some of those giant rocks and we got the gorgeous view of the rushing water through the bouldering formations. It was absolutely breathtaking. The sound of the of the river creating such a wild and romantic vibe, I couldn’t get enough!
Part of the reason I love being an Austin wedding photographer is the amazing outdoor locations to have engagement sessions. There is such a wide variety, and while this engagement session was my first time exploring Pedernales Falls, I know it won’t be my last!
There was no way to end this Pedernales Falls engagement shoot than to pop some champagne!
Once again, Ayana and Steven made their Austin engagement session one to remember.
There’s nothing that screams celebration more than popping some champagne and cozying up on the beach, right? It was so sweet to soak in the sweet dusk air with only feels of excitement and celebration. Ayana and Steven really did make this engagement session so special, and I loved exploring Pedernales Falls with them. It was so fun to get to know them aside from our emails and phone calls! We got to hang out, eat, trip and fall, which only made us all that much more excited for their wedding day in October! I seriously cannot wait to capture their big day in the fall.
