Ariana and Saul are such a sweet couple, and I couldn’t wait to celebrate their wedding at the SoDa District with them! We started off the day at Ariana’s parents’ house where the girls were getting ready. I think it’s so sweet to get ready for your day in your family home because where else are you more comfortable? I could tell Ariana was just so relaxed and at peace, and that is exactly what you want on your wedding day!
That was one of the main things Ariana told me when she first reached out to me about her wedding day. They were set up on a blind date by a mutual coworker. Their date was at Dave and Buster’s, and have been inseparable ever since! I asked Ariana what was something unique about their relationship, and she shared this insane story with me:
“Saul and I had known one another for one month, when I received a letter in the mail from a State Farm Agent named Jesus. “Request a quote” with a big picture of him on the front. I decided to set my sister up with him. Mind you, I knew nothing abut this guy other than his name was Jesus and he was a State Farm Agent. I told my sister about my plan and she thought I was crazy, of course.
That night I told Saul about my plan and asked if he wanted to see a picture of him. I showed him the picture and what do you know…..that was one of his good friends. I couldn’t believe it! What a small world. One month later I had a birthday party at my house and we introduced the two and the rest is history. They were married sept 2018. I tell you this story because I feel I was destined to meet Saul for many reasons. My sister always tells me, that I found her prince charming for her. Double dates for life!”
Is that not the most miraculous thing you’ve ever heard?
Ariana was so attracted to the SoDa District wedding venue because of the cool, industrial vibes. She knew that her decorations could be so minimal because the venue was already perfect. With hints of blues and greys, gorgeous floral arrangements, the reception looked amazing. It was the perfect setting to celebrate their union! The sun was setting right as they shared their first dance, and it was absolutely remarkable.
Saul told me as I was leaving their reception that Ariana felt so connected to me after reading my website. They said it felt like I was talking directly to them, and that seriously just made me so happy. The connection began with my website, but after our phone calls and getting together for their engagement session, I really felt like we became close friends. I just think it’s so cool this job allows me to meet such amazing couples like Ariana and Saul, creating friendships that will last way past the wedding day. I’m so happy for these two, and I seriously had a blast at their SoDa District wedding!
