OKAY SO OBSESSED with this engagement session in the Waimea Canyon with Sarah and Tyler! These two are engaged and were casually going on a vacation to Kauai, so why wouldn’t they take their engagement photos there?? I’m so glad they reached out to me while I was there, and I seriously had so much fun exploring this place with them. Sarah is a freaking trooper for balancing over the unstable ground of the canyon in heels and gorgeous flowy dresses! The sun was so crazy bright, but I am loving the direct sun these days. You can see the ocean from the canyon, as well as the most beeeaaaautiful mountainous views that go for miles and miles. And what I was most grateful for was the weather in Hawaii! We for real got lucky, because usually it’s just constantly raining this time of year. But for the eleven days I spent on this beautiful island, I got nothing but sunshine!
Sarah and Tyler were so sweet and fun to explore with. They had such an appreciation for the views of the canyon, and put up with all my direction that required them to get that red dirt all over their pretty clothes (seriously, I hope those white jeans are okay, Sarah). This is just one of many more upcoming Hawaii blog posts, but I’m just truly so grateful for my time in the island of Kauai. It was exactly what I needed, and ignited a new spark in me to travel all over the country with this business of mine. Honestly, it was just a little sad when my plane landed in DFW and all I saw were dead trees everywhere haha. I had so much fun capturing the exact feel of this evening: warm sun, wild wind, complete silence (we were pretty much all alone up there), tender and genuine connection between two lovebirds, and a deep appreciation for this crazy universe with the prettiest views. Sarah and Tyler, I’m so happy to have met you both!
