Guys, I’m so excited to share this engagement session at the Waimea Canyon in Kauai! This was another one of the beautiful sessions I got to shoot while at the Wild & Unwritten Workshop. Victoria and Elliot were too cool for me, and it was so fun to shoot with them! I love this session, because it’s a perfect example of how to make your engagement session reflect YOU. I think couples tend to overthink what they should wear or do for their engagement sessions. You see all these Pinterest photos of pretty long dresses and heels, in a beautiful location… But just look at Victoria and Elliot! Elliot is wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and Victoria is wearing the CUTEST overalls. And most of the session was at the Jeep we were using while we were in Hawaii! I think the casualty fits them so perfectly, and I always want to encourage my couples to break away from what they think their session “should” be, and do whatever reflects them best! Does your car hold a lot of sweet memories for you? If it does, we can pop the truck and make it super cozy and create the cutest memories while shooting just just at your vehicle! Do you love pizza and wine? Let’s do that for the end of your session and enjoy a fun meal together! Don’t be afraid to think out of the box, because it will be so worth the fun memories in the end!

I’m still not over the beauty of Waimea Canyon OBVIOUSLY. This wasn’t even at the canyon part, just across the street, but I fell in love with all that red dirt. It brought so much warmth and fun contrast to the photos! Someone please take me back there!
